Please read the animal sales policy thoroughly. Your payment will be considered acceptance of these terms.
Rabbits
We do not hold a waiting list for rabbit sales. We will not hold a rabbit for any amount of time unless the rabbit has been paid for in full. We accept cash, or we accept PayPal and Venmo as friends and family purchase only.
SHOW, BROOD, or PET
All rabbits listed for sale on this site will fall into one of three categories: Show Rabbit, Brood Rabbit, or Pet Rabbit.
“Show rabbits” listed will meet the standard of perfection according to the American Rabbit Breeder’s Association. They are free of any disqualifications and are expected to do well on the show table. All show rabbits have been evaluated by me, and while I do my best to evaluate them, I cannot guarantee how well they will place in a show. The Robin’s Nest will not be held liable for any disqualifications that appear on the rabbit once it has left our possession. It is they buyer’s sole responsibility to inspect the rabbit before purchase. All show rabbits are provided with a complete pedigree.
“Brood Rabbits” listed may not necessarily be rabbits that would do well on the show table, but they have qualities that could be beneficial to producing show quality rabbits. Brood Rabbits may also have, at one time, been a show rabbit that was retired in order to produce quality offspring. Brood rabbits are not sold as show rabbits, but they will come with a full pedigree.
“Pet Rabbits” are rabbits that do not meet the standard of perfection and/or do not posses qualities worthy of breeding. Our hope for these rabbits is to find them a furever family and home that will love them. Pet Rabbits will not come with a pedigree.
All Show and Brood Rabbits will have a tattoo in their left ear. This tattoo and their pedigree information cannot be altered for any reason. This includes the name printed on the pedigree. Sometimes it may be possible for buyers to choose the name they want, but once the pedigree is produced and delivered, it is never okay to alter it.
Transport or Pickup
At this time The Robin’s Nest does not work with any transporters. If a transporter is needed, the buyer must set it up on their own. The Robin’s Nest will NOT be responsible for the health or appearance of a rabbit once it leaves our facility. If you choose to use a transporter, you assume all the risks involved.
Pickup of any purchased animal must be set at the time of purchase. We are available to meet in Coushatta, La or Natchitoches La area for most pickups. Sometimes we may be willing to meet in Shreveport or Baton Rouge, but each pickup situation is different. We are always willing to deliver to any shows that we may be attending as long as the animal has been paid for in advance.
Health
The Robin’s Nest is a closed facility. This means that we do not allow anyone to visit our rabbits. This is for the health and safety of our rabbits.
We pride ourselves on the health and safety of our rabbits. However rabbits are fragile animals, so once they leave our facility we will no longer guarantee their health. We promise that we will not allow any animal to leave our care if there is a concern for their health. If you purchase an animal from us that becomes sick prior to leaving our barn, we will contact you to either refund your money or reschedule your pickup time once we’ve had time to assess the situation. It is your responsibility to inspect the rabbit for any health concerns before you leave with your rabbit. Once the rabbit leaves our facility, we will not be responsible for the health of the animal.
First Right of Refusal
The Robin’s Nest maintains the first right of refusal on all pedigreed rabbits. This means that if you later decide to sell or rehome a rabbit that you purchased from our rabbitry, you must offer it back to us at the same price that you paid us for it. If we choose not to purchase the animal back, you may then proceed to sell the rabbit to another breeder.
By purchasing a rabbit from The Robin’s Nest, you are agreeing to all the terms set forth in this sales policy. Our sales policy is subject to change at any time.
If you have any questions prior to purchase, be sure to contact me here.

We hope to have chickens one day so I’m very interested in following you. We will be needing some Senior portraits next year as we have a daughter that is a Junior at Many High School and a third year Dance Line Member. I was raised in Fairview/Coushatta and lived in Natchitoches 15 years before divorcing and remarried and moved to many where I’ve been 18 years. We have a daughter Laura Mayeaux and her family that live just outside of Natchitoches in May Rose Hill Plantation in Natchez La. I love following you and reading your post as you are raising your family like I grew up on a farm in the country and raised my 4 children the same way and I’m happy to report that my 2 oldest are raising my granddaughters just like that. I went to Riverdale Academy at East Point La my Hr and Sr years with a Kevin Robinette and he has a Sister named Wendy. I found that funny.

Kevin is Jason’s cousin. HAHA. And I know Laura!
