First Time Showing Mini Lops

We may be new to Mini Lops, but we are not new to showing and breeding rabbits. Many of you may know us from showing Lionheads for the past four years, but this was our first time showing Mini Lops.

We attended the LRBA Salute the Brave and Rock the Day show that takes place in Alexandria, Louisiana every Memorial Day weekend, and Stormi started out winning Best of Breed with a precious little Broken Junior Doe that we purchased for her from a breeder in Oklahoma. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not scared to take a road trip to pick up the right rabbit.

Kiss This was the only showable rabbit that we brought home from Oklahoma. Everything else that we bought was for breeding. They were past their show prime, but they still picked up a few 2nd places and Best of Varieties. We could not be more excited to start breeding and showing our own little floofs.

The Salute the Brave and Rock the Day show was a fabulous show! It was very well run, and there was so many things planned for the youth. This was a much needed change for the Louisiana Rabbit Breeders Association. The new officers are taking this club to the next level. They even started out the show with a prayer from a pastor/fellow mini lop exhibitor. It was fabulous!
