Adopting a Bunny:
Once a litter of bunnies are born, we will post a birth announcement here on the website and on Facebook and Instagram. We will then announce the date that we will make the online reservation application available. Bunnies are reserved with a 50% non refundable deposit. Once your deposit is paid, we will be happy to give you updates about your babies between then and pickup day. Be sure to watch our Available Rabbits and Silkies page AND our Facebook page. Deposits are taken on a first come first serve basis. We cannot hold a rabbit for you without a paid deposit.
Non Refundable Deposit:
To officially reserve your bunny once available, you must pay a non-refundable deposit via Paypal. Your deposit will be applied toward the balance owed for the bunny. The balance is due IN CASH when the bunny is picked up, or via Paypal. All paypal payments must be cleared before the bunny can be taken home. Bunnies cannot leave our farm until they are at least 8 weeks of age, and most of the time we will not even begin accepting deposits before then.
The deposit will ONLY be refunded if we cancel the sale for any reason OR if the bunny is found to be of a different gender BEFORE it leaves our facility. If you simply change your mind or fail to contact us to set up a pick-up date, your deposit will not be refunded and your bunny will be sold to the next applicant in line.
Our bunnies typically sell for anywhere between $100 – $200 depending on quality and color. Our Holland Lops will come with a pedigree, and they will be very well socialized and friendly. We invest a lot of time and money into our bunnies, and we cannot sell them for any less.
Picking Up Your Bunny:
You must contact us to schedule a pickup date for your bunny no later than two weeks after paying your deposit. If you fail to schedule a pickup date, and you fail to communicate with us, your deposit is non-refundable, and your bunny will be sold to the next applicant in line. All bunnies must be picked up at our farm located in Natchitoches Parish Louisiana unless other arrangements are made.
We guarantee that when you arrive to pickup your bunny, he or she will be in excellent health and condition. You will need to be ready to inspect your bunny for gender and any signs of illness. Once the bunny leaves our facility, we will no longer guarantee its health simply because we cannot be responsible for any stress or dietary changes which are no longer in our control. You are responsible for following our recommendations for feeding and care as well as seeking veterinary assistance if necessary. Please fully inspect your bunny before you leave because all sales are final.
Please be sure to do your research. Investing in a bunny can be a long time commitment. Most Holland Lops live an average of ten years. We will send you home with a care sheet, but it is recommended that you spend some time doing your own research. We will also send you home with a baggy of pellets. While we highly suggest that you continue feeding your new baby the same food that we use, we understand that sometimes it is necessary to change. In that case be sure to gradually change the food by mixing yours with what we give you in order to keep your bunny’s tummy happy. Be sure to read the care sheet that we give you for important information about your new baby’s dietary needs. We never recommend giving them store bought treats such as yogurt drops or seed sticks. Your rabbit needs an endless supply of quality Timothy Hay, and and egg cup size serving of quality pellets daily. Once your rabbit is over six months of age, you can also begin giving them a bowl of fresh veggies daily. Be sure to do your research. Not all veggies and fruits are healthy for rabbits. Your bunny can quickly become overweight or suffer from GI Stasis.
Adopting a Hedgehog?
Our sales policy is very similar to our rabbit sales policy. All deposits must be paid in order for us to hold your hedgehog until pickup day. A 50% non refundable deposit is required, and the balance must be paid in full by cash upon pickup, or by Paypal. All Paypal payments must be clear before the animal is released.
Please note that owning a hedgehog in some states is illegal. You are responsible for doing your own research and knowing your state laws. We will not be held accountable for legal action taken against you. All sales are final.
